Hi all! I have just been notified that I am in Group 1 (top 30) on the USC waitlist (out of 9 groups, 270 people total). Does anyone have an idea how many people they accept? If you are in an earlier group is it GUARANTEED you'll be accepted before anyone in a later group? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Best,
Christina

Hey, Christina! I am in Group 3 and Ms Orcasitas told me they used to pick students from Group 1, which means I have little chance, I guess. I am wondering how can I enhance my chance to get accepted.

Hi! I am not sure how they rank the groups, but the chances that students on the USC waitlist get in are probably higher than other schools due to the large class size. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope a lot of people decline their acceptance offers!! Good luck!!

Good Luck, you definitely have chances!

Wow can't believe how many people are on the waitlist! (270). Yeah I'm curious as well if they will just accept people from group 1 first.

I'm not trying to be all negative...but I don't see the point in having 270 people on the waitlist. At least 1/2 of those students, if not more, have no chance in getting off the waitlist. USC should just increase the number of rejections, so people could get on with their lives and not have to endure the long wait to hear back from USC.

hi! wow that his a huge waitlist!! is that typical of most schools or is it just usc? by the way...did you guys call to find out what group you are or did they email you? i haven't received any such notice =(

The point is, if they apply in the following year, they do not have to pay for the supplemental application fee.

Curious if anyone has been pulled off the waitlist yet?
