I just want to know when they send out interview invites, or if anyone's heard back from them yet?

i heard that they give you an essay prompt that you gotta write it on the spot.. one person that i know got a prompt to describe her best friend.

what does everyone's status say?

Mine says " Under Review" . Is this the case for everyone?
 
dont worry about the "not paid", not only is it not usually updated, but the USC admissions will review your application whether or not you have paid the fee yet. Its part of their principle that every applicant deserves proper attention and thorough review, and therefore a monetary application fee, although required at some point, is not absolutely necessary for them to begin considering your application.


But other than the app fee, does it say "under review" when you check your status on their website?

essay is really chill, dont worry...

and USC tends to hand out a bulk of their interviews much later than other schools.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that it has always been "under review" ever since you first logged in.

Their representative at the SF CDA said they'd start interviewing around mid-October.

ur corrected..mine didnt say "under review" for a little while...it has however said that for a long while now 😉..
My buddy goes to dschool at USC...he fb me the other day and said we should be hearing things in the next 2 weeks or so......

Hopefully I hear something..... For some reason, I can really see myself at USC....
 
I'm waiting to hear back from them also. I would like to see the area but I heard living is expensive. In the long run..the loan taken to go to that school will be insane anyways!
 
Mine only says "Application Received." and Fee Paid. Will it change to "Under Review" if they are reviewing mine?

btw, I am loving Cali weather and USC so far.
If anyone has any question about USC/interview, feel free to PM

USC has made some changes with our class. we now have PBL/lecture hybrid and also already worked on amalgam class I,II,V in our first 3 weeks of school. In fact, we were given our handpieces and started drilling during our orientation. I know it doesn't mean much but it does show how much emphasis school is putting on clinical skills compared to many other schools..

After not getting anything from BU, Western and NYU so far, USC is my last hope. Can't wait for them to start giving their interviews.

makes me little bit happier than when I saw my status in USC.
I am a reapplicant and had interview last cycle. They have the slowest process ever in every dental school. I hope I get into the interview again with my better DAT score! :uhno:

my status has been ready to go for a looooooong time now...but my buddy goes there and txtd me last week saying I should hear within 2 weeks.....just goin off his words here...not exactly sure when they'll be starting
 
So my buddy whos at USC dschool right now just fb me and said that USC just sent out letters to those people who have paid their fee and have complete apps.....this is a snail mail situation.......supposedly the letters are color coded.....im not sure what the different colors mean tho....he told me to let him know what color i get tho..........
I'll keep u posted on the situation

These letters were sent out a long time ago... I received mine probably over a month ago. I threw mine away so I'm not sure what color I got. Hopefully we'll get something good soon!

Hmmmmm...strange....he said they sent them out yesterday.....str8 from admin bro..........u would be the first person ive seen to have ANY action from USC this cycle.....
 
Got an Interview invite to USC this morning via email (Dates as early as Sept 22 available but I'm going Sept 29). Judging from the # of invitees listed on predents, it seems like today is the first day they are contacting people. Good luck everyone!

Ummm I never got any information from USC like about that check status website or how much money is due or anything! No confirmation through e-mail or aadsas about my app being complete or anything. So how much is it and where do I send it? Where on the website is this information? 🙁

Also what was everyone's mailing date who got an interview?

On AADSAS there is a section with all the supplemental information. Fees and where to mail them are located there. (most schools also have it on their website.)

People made posts saying Penn and Columbia adcoms were taking a week or two off. You will not get passed on with that DAT score. Your DAT being late makes your application later than a lot of people getting the first round of invitations, so you will likely get a later one. Don't worry.

anyone get a letter saying their application passed "preliminary review" and will be kept on file till August?
 
Kind of weird, but I got a interview invite email yesterday, and I am scheduled for the 29th, but...
I just checked the mail and I got the preliminary review letter today postmark the 14th.
Weird...
