Now she knows you're neurotic and will turn in a poor evaluation. Ya dun goofedI sent a short follow up email apologizing the mistake. (I might have worried too much, but I still wanted to apologize nevertheless) Just like you said, hopefully it is not a big deal because it's a thank-you note!
Thanks a lot for your response, @NoDakDok
@Avicenna come on, really? it's still a mistake, so I think you should acknowledge your mistake and apologize for it...
(not writing a whole paragraph about it but simply apologizing)

"Ms." is just as correct as "Dr." in this case. She probably didn't bat an eye at it.
In my honest opinion, your follow-up email probably comes off as neurotic.
Well that's certainly a false dichotomy, because it excludes the choice that she didn't notice or mind at all (didn't notice, not neurotic; didn't notice, neurotic; noticed, rude; noticed, not rude). Your general point is well received thoughAt the other end of the spectrum, I think that calling a woman who is an MD with whom you have a professional relationship "Ms." instead of "Dr." is rude and disrespectful. Without knowing your interviewer's attitude on the subject, you had the option of appearing "not neurotic OR rude and disrespectful" or "a little neurotic OR respectful and considerate." I think the latter (the decision you made to apologize) was your best bet. Relax.
Well taken!Well that's certainly a false dichotomy, because it excludes the choice that she didn't notice or mind at all (didn't notice, not neurotic; didn't notice, neurotic; noticed, rude; noticed, not rude). Your general point is well received though
I once had an applicant refer to me by just my last name, no title, no nothing! Like we were frat brothers.Pffft. I just accidentally did this at an interview, except much worse... Not only did I completely forget a "Dr.", "Sir", etc, but I also used his first name to address him! Needless to say, my hopes aren't high for that particular school.
