Useful PT School Website

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I love using this site for tuition and living costs... Very accurate!

Some tuition information is off.. I just checked a couple of my schools and there is a difference. They have Stony Brook Univeristy as 97k in-state (NY), when it's actually ~77k. Big difference lol

DO NOT TRUST THE TUTION NUMBERS ON THIS SITE.

I've noticed several instances where the total tuition reported is in fact the cost for only one year, not three. And the cost of living estimates are way off. It also tends to mess up in-state vs out-of-state, etc.

Better to go with CAPTE's directory and programs' websites.

I, too, checked the site against some of the schools that I applied to. Not very accurate on a number of things, especially tuition, fees, and living expenses. The things that they did get right are on the school's ptcas page anyways. I'm still trying to figure out how they think living in North Carolina will be $20k more expensive than living in the Bay Area...

Hmm weird maybe it was just the schools that I was interested in (une, uri, and the Washington schools)

Edit: I believe most of the southern cali schools are accurate too

I find this web-site very useful for those interested in travel PT. He provides a first hand account of what it's like to be a travel PT, and tells you good tips about gettin' into the field. There is also a discussion board where he answers questions!

Seems like everyone is making a travel PT blog lately! I've seen two others on the Doctor of Physical Therapy Students facebook group in the past few days!

Yeah, my experience reading such blogs is that they start out really strong, and then they kinda peter out after a few months. Good info nonetheless.
