Although I won't be applying this year, I would like to submit my transcripts and information to get a good idea how my application will look next year. In return, I will know my weaknesses better..

what's the best way of going about this?

You realize to get your GPA verified you have to submit, which A) costs 160 bucks for the one school, and B) makes you a reapplicant at that school....?

What? No. The GPA calculation is public knowledge. Sit down and do the arithmetic yourself. Don't make yourself a reapplicant for no reason.

Oops. I didn't know that. Is it a stigma to reapply to a school ?

I just don't want any surprises next year when I apply

Yes there is a stigma. Browse through the app but do not apply. That's just foolish.

Some schools will ask if you applied to a medical school before (even if not to theirs). If you say yes and your reason is because you wanted to see your GPA...that's not going to go over well!

How could there be any surprises? You should know what your grades are.

I went to school in Canada, and had a hard time understanding what scale they use for which school

They all use the same scale. I understand it might be hard to convert your scores (not sure how they do it in Canada) but definitely do not submit to find out!
