I have Robbins Review of Pathology (It's only questions) and I was looking over the questions and they seem to be very good questions, and very similar to UW questions, what do you guys think about doing the questions for every section after reading and listening to Goljan's RR and audio? Do you think it's good or a waste of time?
Thanks

also, for those who have done both which questions are harder uworld or the robbins (i am talking about path, obviously)

incorporating the robins review in my opinion is a good idea no matter when you do it. i try to do the questions in the few days before the final for that organ system. if you want to do them after Goljan, i'm sure it is just as helpful

I understand that it is a good idea to use this book for class review and exams, but what about for boards, how are the questions? Can you compare them to UWorld questions? Similar? Harder? Easier? useful?
Thanks for your input though

how about robbins review vs the kaplan qbank?

just curious, trying to figure out what order I should do things in...

This has been discussed before. If your path teachers teach from Robbins then obv this book will be good for tests in med school. But how about for the boards? I've heard multiple people say that the questions in Robbin's Review are actually harder than the questions on the real exam (which I assume means they're harder than Qbank/UW). They said that although they may be harder they are very good prep for Step 1 either way you look at it. I've got the book and plan to use it the same way you said - after listening to or reading Goljan I'll do the corresponding questions in the review book.

I took it in June and used Robbins Rev after reading FA and doing the UW questions for each topic. Harder than the real thing to me but worth every minute. Most of the topics were high yield, even if the question itself may have been a little more difficult than UW or others. It's also a good histo review in the process.

It sounds like you did this not too long before taking the test. How long did you take to get through it? I've usually heard people recommend doing these questions further in advance, so it's interesting to hear another perspective.

I took about 5 or 6 weeks to study and broke it up by topic. So I did a chapter every day or two- some topics had multiple relevant chapters, others had only one. Even if you used it throughout the year, I think there is still value to go back. The few chapters I had seen before were still equally as difficult the second time around.
