Medical Using term “Provider” in secondaries?

So I only recently learned about how some physicians dislike being called “providers” but now I’m starting to worry because I used that term throughout my secondaries when trying to diversify from using the same words over and over in essays. I have 0 interview invites so far and am starting to worry. How much will this hurt me?

It's still early in the interview season. In terms of the word, I suggest that you use it to refer to a large mixed group of people who provide medical care. If the group only contains one type of health care worker, though, just use that name. Physicians, nurse practitioners, PAs, etc. Be specific when possible.

It wouldn't stop you from getting interviews. However, I might use reading that as a reason to ask "if you want to be a 'provider', there are several options. Why are you applying to med school and not PA school?" or something similar.
