USMLE score transmission fees?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
if my memory is holding up...

if you are taking the step exams, you can release them immediately or wait till you get your scores to release them.

however, if you want to send them to a 3rd party (state board, hospital, etc), you have to pay a fee (50-75 dollars, i think, for 3 recipients)

Does the NBME charge to send scores to programs? If so, is it a flat fee or do they charge per program?
To the best of my knowledge, the NBME does not charge to release your USMLE scores.

But they do charge you to send them to state licensing boards! (via some other mundane organization) -- 60 bones. One more way to stick it to ya!

so to clarify what i said earlier,

the nbme does not charge you at or after the time of your test to release your scores to eras.

however, they will charge you $$$ to send them to anywhere else (personal, state boards, hospitals, fellowships, etc)
