Can you explain exactly what the 24/7 "online coach" is? Thanks!

How long has Princeton Review had a USMLE prep program? I teach for PR and this is the first I've heard of it. Is it a long-standing program?

how does this program compare to youells?

I have used many products for test preparation in the past, and the quality of princeton review products has always been outstanding.

This looks like a lot for a descent price. I'd like to check out the practice test, but the link isn't working. Could you double-check it?

Thanks.

If its like their MCAT program, they should have high quality instructors. I have my fingers crossed for the raffle.

Hi, what exactly is involved in the online review - are they lectures, notes etc? Thanks!

The 24/7 coach is a chat-based coach who is available for navigational questions, questions about the course structure etc. For content questions, we have a team of Content Experts available via email, and these emails are typically answered within 24 hours. Our Content Experts were involved in the writing of the course material, are certified USMLE teachers and tutors, and last but not least, practicing medical specialists.

The online course consists of over 100 online lessons. These take the form of interactive, flash-based lessons. There is both an audio and visual component to each lesson. The course also contains 100s of drills, specific full subject tests, and not to mention the 2000+ pages of printed review material.

Hi there,

We initially launched our online program in 2001. So, yes, we've been around for a while. We haven't offered classroom courses in the US in about 5 years though, so we keep a low USMLE profile in the US.

Cheers,

Andrea @ TPROnline

The easiest way to get to the demo is to visit:

http://demo.princetonreview.com

and then select "USMLE" from the drop down menu. I just tried it out and it seems to be working on my end. If you continue to have trouble, feel free to give us a call at 888-755-7737.

Hi,
Do the video lectures follow the review notes word by word or its just overview ?
Also can i depend on the review notes as my only single source or do i need to supplement with textbooks?
Finally for some reason i cant see the demo though i have an account created long time back!
Thank you!

I am interested in taking an online USMLE prep course for step 1 because it suits my study style more than a classroom course would. Is the course strictly web-based or are there CD-roms included?

Hi!

Can you tell me how long you have access to the program after you purchase/win it? Is there a way to defer it if you don't want to use it (or start and realize you aren't ready), yet?

Thanks!

How many questions are there in each of the subject test? What's the pacing like compared to what we'll have to maintain on the real thing?

Looks like a good deal. Id like to get some feedback from people who have done this course... Can anyone comment?

Who are the online lessons taught by? Are certified instructors just people who have done well on the step, or are they old-timers who have actually written for the boards?

What kind of exam-taking strategy do you offer? I have always found this to be one of PR's strengths in the past.

If I am not mistaken, there doesn't seem to be enough practice questions in this package. 7-one hour tests and 3 full lengths don't add up to as many questions as one would get with a Kaplan or USMLE world package, or am I mistaken. Are there practice questions that I am not accounting for? Thanks.

thanks for participating

I used TPROnline and loved it. I will be happy to answer questions (message me please) about the program!
