Probably been discussed before, but can't find a recent thread....

I'm just curious about what scores people were getting on USMLE World, and then how you ended up doing on Step 2.

All you have to do is post two numbers...... 🙂

I don't post often but would like to relay my step 2 ck experience..

I took the exam late July and agree with some of the above posts. The length of the questions were on par with UW, however it was the answer choices that differed. Many of the cases were straight forward but often times I couldn't find the answer I was expecting, and sometimes could not really identify a halfway decent choice. Some questions had me thinking I was actually sitting for the COMLEX..

All in all, I relied solely upon UW as my primary study source (1x + repeated all marked Q's). I had not picked up a book since shelf studying in the Spring. Did NBME 1,4 and UWSA.

Happily scored >250 on test day

Hi guys. Im using the 5th edition of FA CK as well as newest editions of secrets and step up to step 2. Is it ok to use the older edition of FA does it make a big difference??😕

Studying about 11 weeks
NBME 1 (8/8) 510-235
NBME 3 (9/6) 490-229 (freaked out)
NBME 4 (9/18) 550-242
NBME 2 (9/23) 550-242 (not sure what to make of this)
UWOLRD complete one time random/timed 70%(last 8 around 75% average)
UWSA: Sept 30
USMLE Practice free exam Sept 25

So what do you guys think ? Am I ok even though I didn't show any improvement between nbme 2 and 4? What kind of score can I expect here ? Because I hear NBME are not very predictive for Step 2.

I have a 238 on Step 1 and I am looking to get around 245-250 on step 2. Anyone have any advice ?

Took it today. I feel like it went decently even though I know I missed a couple pretty easy questions. I had a 73% or something on UW after going through once and redoing the questions I missed and a 229 on UWSA a little over a week ago. My goal is anesthesia's average of 234, and I think I probably hit that. We'll see!

but want 2 ask a favour, iwould like anyone posting his score 2 mention a little bit about his uworld experience(mode,time, number of times going through questions)
and also i have a question am an IMG and im now studying 4 step2 ck ,my basic knowledge isn't that great and i didn;t sit for step1 and even never attempted 2 study 4, and while i was going through uworld psychiatric relatd questions a was astonished by the high percentage of correct responces for each question,,so that made me start wondering r these questions related to step 1(there were lots of questions concerning drugs and their side effect)or that AMG study this material effeciently ,and i want a decent advice about the order of taking the exam (im not in a hurry ,im afresh graduate intending to do my internship so i have more than a year)is sitting for step 1 helps with step2 (u can tell from the time u sit for the uworld questions,do u think that basic knowledge helped u with solving questions)or it doesn't matter,im confused wanna get a high score ,😍

I had a dream last night, that i found out my score, and it was a 210. I was in shock, started crying, then started to bump Avicii - Levels and just started running into the dessert shirtless in hopes i would get die haha

i got a 248 on step 1

Hi guys,
Step 1 - 258
Goal - 240 +
Heres what I been using, Kaplan notes, Uworld and a little bit of kaplan qbank.

My uworld average is around 74, i finished it and everything was random, timed.

NBME 3 - 239
NBME 2 - 228
NBME 4 -228 (today) - weird but i missed around 8 questions because i ran outta time like the first 3 blocks.

gonna do UWSA, but you guys got any tips for me? Is it possible to bump it up 10 points by exam date? or am I aiming for too much.
Quick update, just did UWSA - 252.
So What do you guys think? I thought nbme felt harder, in the sense, i couldnt reason out an answer sometimes....

My print permit link is gone!!! That's a good thing because I took it on August 2nd and I don't think I could wait much longer!!!

mine disappeared a while back because my eligibility period ended 8/31. I took the exam 8/4. Is there any way you can tell if you passed? I read somewhere on this thread that if your "print permit" link disappeared that you passed, but I'm not sure this is applicable if your eligibility period has ended. Does anyone know?

When I click the 'Print Scheduling Permit' link on the main page it takes me to a page listing prior exams. From there there is not 'Print Permit' link under my test date.

No idea if it applies if your eligibility period has ended.

What time on Wednesday do the scores typically come out? Just wanna make sure I sneak out of the OR/clinic/etc to check on my phone. Starting to get nervous (Aug 4). Eeep.

i think that only disappears when your eligibility period has ended, not when you have passed.

My eligibility period ends Oct 31st and mine disappeared (I'm due to receive my score tomorrow) so hopefully that means I ipassed and am not allowed to retake it...

Definitely dreading it too...I'm just finally submitting my ERAS tomorrow and I'm worried that I bombed Step 2. Is there a way to hold Step 2 CK score reporting until after I get interview offers? My score on Step 1 was exactly at the average and I'm worried that I did worse on Step 2.

Although I wasn't in top form for the test, I can confirm UWorld is the last word. You don't need anything else!

The new pharm ad questions were jokes. The only one I may have missed was a definition question. The pharm questions in UWorld were a lot harder (a lot more information in the drug ad / reading material and more biostatistics, compared to the real thing).

Took it on Aug 4. Just got it.

Used Uworld, Secrets, SU2S2/DIT (which I did slowly, and painfully, over 4 weeks). Re-read and took notes on about half of SU2M, which I had read throughout the year. Studying a few hours a day for a month, and then busted out ~15hr days for a week and a half when I realized I had to take this test.

Raw Shelf scores
Neuro - 72 (HP)
Surgery - 92 (H)
IMed - 84 (H)
FMed - 86 (H)
OB - 77 (H)
Psych - 99 (H)
Peds - 89 (H)

Completely through UWorld - 80%
UWSA - 268
Step 1 - 255
Real deal Step 2 CK - 265

Freaking ecstatic.

I took the test on 8/22. My "print permit" link disappeared on Monday. I haven't gotten an e-mail yet about my score being available and now my "print permit" link is back...:scared:Is this a bad sign???
