Any idea of what the correlation is? I'm taking my step III early (before intern year) and am getting a little p/o because I'm scoring around a 60% on Usmleworld. Hard questions.. diagnosis is always obvious but real picky on management.
As an example: someone presents w/ hystory and symptoms that = clostridium pseudomembrenous c. How do you manage them? You treat them with metronidazole... that's the easy part... Here is where it gets tricky: Patient comes back 3 weeks later w/ recurrent symptoms. What do you treat him with now???? Vancomycin is an answer I thought was right and acceptable for it does treat pseudomembreanous... but NO.. the correct answer is another trial of metronidazole. Both can be used, but you switch to vancomcin after failing 3 times with metronidazole. Gerrr......
Anybody have any experiences on what they scored on usmleworld vs. step III?
