Current application cycle status is as follows (I am a Virginia resident): Accepted to SUNY Upstate and Virginia Tech Carilion; Waitlisted at VCU, EVMS (top third), and SUNY Downstate
Overall thrilled as this is my second time applying. As of now, definitely leaning toward SUNY Upstate with the options that I have. If i got into VCU or EVMS, I'd almost certainly go for in-state tuition and proximity to home. I'm looking into in-state tuition after M1 at Upstate, but it's looking complex and perhaps impossible.
VCU is probably my top choice out of all the schools - great school, cool city, near home, in-state tuition. EVMS is not far behind in my rank and would be thrilled to go there as well.
Main question is do you have any recommendations on sending a letter of intent/interest? VCU seems to be pretty anti-letters if it's not a significant update. EVMS seems very transparent and my guess is they'd like to know that I'd choose them over my current acceptances. Overall just confused as to what I should do, if anything! I realize that I've been waitlisted and will have to be patient, but I wanted to see if anyone had any further recommendations.
