blue probably just got like 5 emails with the packet. I sent it too
that's a bummer, best of luck in getting that waiver -- what sort of eye condition do you have?Got a conditional acceptance this AM, but also got notice that I was medically disqualified due to my eyesight... hopefully I can get a waiver and join the class.

So I have been reading for many months now and am posting that I just recieved my conditional for the Army today. Mslall I interviewed on the 25th with you and was on your sim tour group. Glad to hear about your unconditional. Best of luck to all still waiting
yeah I remember him. My name is Zach. I remember talking to you and sarah about your interview with that 4th year Navy student. Funny how things worked out for ya. I remember you thinking you wouldn't get in, but it is good to see that you were wrong.
yeah thats right I worked at BAMC one summer doing some research with the army.
got ya, so we're definitely gonna be meeting up there this summer
I sure hope so. USUHS is my first choice. I need to get medically cleared however. I had a history of childhood asthma that may be an issue. Hopefully i can get a waiver if I need one.
that ended my friend's career before it started. your safe bet is to tell them the bare minimum. i've lost track of all the weird medical stories i've heard disqualifying people from specific AFSCs or entering the air force. of course, i can only speak for the air force--strictest of the three branches as far as medical dq. if you're going air force, don't expect a waiver to go through unless they've already invested a couple $100Ks into you--and even then you're lucky.
Did anyone else get the unconditional acceptance letter today? I finally feel like I can relax, and safely withdraw from other schools. Hopefully I don't bomb any classes.

Did you get anything with the unconditional letter?
I put AF as my first choice, and I have been thinking about getting the Lasik surgery done on my eyes. Do you think I should re-submit my DoDMERB application or just not mention anything?
No. The letter said I should get a package within the next few months. deos anyone know where you go for the HIV/Hep B/Drug/EToH screen? I assume you can't just go to any lab to have it done. I just know they didn't draw any blood at my physical which was unexpected.
i think you have to do it through them. The way I read the paperwork, and by paperwork I mean the one page acceptance form, made me think that you did all of this after commissioning. Maybe not though. If you want to make sure all your i's are dotted and t's are crossed you could always go get it done on your own just to make sure you're definitely ok
You're right. The letter states "subsequent to commissioning and your arrival at your officer basic course you will need to take and pass a test for HIV, ETOH, and urine. I think the ETOH is kind of weird. I mean you have to be an absolute ***** to have a positive ETOH on OBC arrival.
PedsAdvocates,
I was interviewed on October 9 and got a call on November 13 to say that I was conditionally accepted. Just remember though...just because you don't get a call this week doesn't mean you won't get one in two weeks. From what I understand, they are fairly backed up in the admissions office.
So, anyone from the Oct 23rd interview group hear anything yet? I realize that we probably won't hear anything until December, by I'm.
Got the call today!!! Army baby ... very excited ...
Nadonavydoc,

wow that is awesome, congrats pedsadvocate. Something that is really confusing me is why (to my knowledge) the October 2nd interviewees haven't heard back yet. Does anyone know anything about that or has anyone heard back from October 2nd? Thanks
No, man. Still anxiously waiting. By the way, I think I remember you from our interview group. You were the one with the Public Health Service interviewer from last year, right?
So, if people from Oct 9 heard today, does that mean we (the Oct 23rd group) probably won't hear until mid December (ie: they interviewed two weeks before us, so we still have at least a two week wait)?
That's as good a guess as any.
Got the call today!!!!!!! Air force!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got the call today!!!!!!! Air force!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congratulations to everyone who has just been accepted!
And please post your interview date so I can continue to nervously over-analyze the admission committee's every move.
Edit2: I just read in the interview confirmation e-mail that response time will be lengthened if you are taking fall classes. Weak. Anyone know how long the response time is typically lengthened by? I assume they want to wait to see how you do in the fall classes.
