Hi, I am interviewing at USUHS in a couple weeks and just received an email with some general information. One of the paragraphs was about attire and said military personnel are "strongly encouraged" to wear their dress uniforms. I am a prior service ROTC cadet and havent really worn my class A's since I was enlisted so they look like crap. Was planning on wearing a suit before this. Thoughts?

Hey Steve, welcome. Come on over to the USUHS school specific thread. There are a lot of folks over there that have interviewed recently. I'm sure someone has been in your situation or knows someone who was. We should be able to get you an answer.

I was on IRR when I interviewed so I was entitled to wear a uniform but elected not to. I wore a suit and got accepted. I don't think it really matters too much. My uniforms didn't fit and decided not to spend the money to buy new ones for a day. Good luck on the interview!

If you are in ROTC shouldn't you have your uniforms ready anyway? I don't know how Army and Airforce work though so maybe you guys don't use your class A's on a regular basis? NROTC used SDB's quite often.

Either way though you should be more than fine with the suit. I would be very very surprised if someone dinged you for that. Shocked even.
