Just got invited to interview at UT Austin School Psych. Funding appears to be very low (no tuition remission, possible TA/RA-ship opportunities after the first year).

Any past or current students want to weigh in?

Is this for their specialist or doctoral program? If the former, a lack of funding may not throw up quite as much of a red flag as the latter.

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the program at all. I do know UT Austin is an excellent university in general, and also has a very strong clinical psych program, so I'd be surprised if their school psych areas weren't also solid.

I'm not a School Psychologist. I'm also not in/associated with their program.
But someone from their program was on internship with me 2-3 years ago, and based solely on that experience and our conversations, I'd bet they offer pretty solid training.
In case you dont already know, the city has the motto "Keep Austin Weird"... and they do.
Note: N = 1, take with grain of salt.

Thanks for the thoughts. This is for their doctoral program, which is why I'm wary of the costs that will be incurred over 5 years. I'd love to be in Austin which is why I even looked into this program in the first place.

I know individuals who have graduated from that program. They do have very strong training; they are well known in the field for producing great clinicians. In many ways, it is more like a clinical program than a traditional school psychology program. Most students don't do internships in schools. Also, I believe it is designed to take 6 years, not 5. It is my understanding that funding can be an issue. I know one grad who left with a lot of student loan debt. If you're interested enough, go to the interview, but be sure to get your important questions answered and find out for yourself if it will be a good fit and a good financial decision.
