I was lucky enough to receive acceptances to both of these schools and am trying to decide between the two.
Does anyone think Loyola offers something UTMemphis doesn't in terms of education or clinical training...especially that would justify paying 2x what I would be paying at Memphis?
I didn't see anything at Loyola that convinced me to go there over Memphis, but am wondering if I am missing something?

i would pick loyola despite the cost difference... just personal opinion, cause u will be in CHICAGO... u can't beat that... especially if u are not satisfied with your undergrad experience

I did my SMP at Loyola and we had a couple classes at the medical campus...and I can tell you right now it is not *in* Chicago. It is in the west suburbs, which will take you quite a bit to get to the actual city part. I must say I did not particularly enjoy the campus.

But that's just my two cents...besides this info, I know little else about either of the schools.

I say drop your memphis acceptance so I can have it.

hehehe

except that I'm currently on the waitlist at UT-Memphis and accepted to Loyola. Of the schools I've interviewed at, I'm leaning toward these two. I'd be very interested to know your thought process on this decision as you further research the two schools...

It seems like both schools provide good clinical experiences and exposure to a socioeconomically diverse patient population. Definitely a plus.

I worry a little about UT being a state-funded school in a state that does not typically place high value on public education, and how current and future budget problems could affect the quality of medical students' experience at the school, or if indeed these effects would even be felt at the level of med students...

Also, Memphis weather>>>Chicago weather, but as a City, Chicago>>>Memphis..

Curious to hear your thoughts and what you finally decide
