Hey everyone,

I've just been looking over my orgo textbook to refresh some stuff and I noticed the section on UV spectroscopy. Based on teh outline that the ADA website provides, it doesn't list this as one of the topics tested on the exam. Can anyone recall seeing any questions related to this on their test? or confirm that it is not on the exam itself?

i didnt have any!! i took the national orgo final for my lecture class and got in 90% of US...and dang being able to read those was amazing - helped me get tons of right answers....i dont think i had any, but it would be smart to brush up on it in case (uv spec, mass spec)

I think the only thing you need to know about UV spectroscopy is that it's used to obtain information about conjugated systems. Other than this, I've never seen a question on this topic!
