Hi to any current UVM students -- I am trying to figure out if I want to stay on the UVM waitlist or drop from it. I love the school but I've heard that out of staters basically get no grant/scholarship money. Does anyone know if this is true? Do any OOS people get "free" money from UVM?

If there is no chance of me getting a better "deal" than I've already gotten from a couple of privates, I figure I might as well drop. But if there is any chance of aid, then I think I should stay on the list and see what happens.

Thanks.

Hey there! I'm a first year at UVM. As an OOS student, you can receive the Freeman foundation scholarship (10 000$/year) but only for your 3rd and 4th year, IF you sign a form in which you say that you will intend to work in Vermont after residency. Some people also do National Health Corp....I wouldn't let money alone make the call for you. UVM is a great school! Good luck!
