I'm also in the fun pool of applicants who are now being considered for an interview, but are guaranteed nothing. "Jawohl, yew v'ar guaranteed nuh-zing! NUH-zING!!" I like the ambiguous suspense this creates. (You can almost hear 1,000 pre-med applicants scratching their collective heads.)
Anyway, I love the school, would love to go, and am as anxious as anyone else to hear.
One question, does anyone know if it's possible to claim VT residency for the purposes of in-state tuition after one year in VT? The UVM policy seems to imply that it would be nearly impossible to due so:
"4. An applicant becoming a student within one year of first
moving to the state shall have created a rebuttable
presumption that residency in Vermont is for the purpose of
attending UVM and/or acquiring in-state status for tuition
purposes." http://www.uvm.edu/~rgweb/app_in_state.pdf
Unless I'm completely confused on what the term "rebuttable presumption" means, doesn't this imply that you're basically screwed?
