Hi everyone,

I've been accepted to both UVM and Bryn Mawr, and I'm doing a sort of cost-benefit analysis about the two (I made two deposits). I know A LOT about Bryn Mawr from having talked to a lot of postbacs and Jodi, but I don't know as much about UVM. So here are some UVM questions that I'd REALLY like answered:

1. How many students link to UVM COM? Is it difficult to link? How does the UVM COM AdCom feel about UVM postbacs?
2. Where do postbacs live?
3. How cohesive are the postbacs as a group? Is there a lot of inter-student support?
4. What about MCAT classes?
5. Are professors accessible?
6. What kind of curve are the courses graded on?
7. Are volunteer/research opportunities easy to come by?
8. How supportive is the advising?

Thanks, everyone!

Just out of curiosity, would you qualify for in-state tuition at UVM? That would certainly make things competitive between the two. If you're out of state, however, it would seem that the cost would be similar at the two programs. If that's the case, BM is one of the top post bacc programs in the country, and while UVM is a good program, I don't think it's anywhere near the level of BM. If the costs are similar (and barring other factors like family, personal factors, etc), I think Bryn Mawr probably would get most people's votes here.
