UW secondaries

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
They didn't send out OOS secondaries till mid-Nov. last year.

My friend and I both got ours today as well. Both in state.

Just curious, what batch were everyones applications sent out?

I got my secondary as well! I was also in the 7/18 mailing batch 👍

So I just sent my secondary via Adobe reader... but it seems really anticlimactic. After I hit the send button, it just saves the file to my computer... How do I know my secondary is submitted? I did not get any kind of verification from Adobe reader or anything... :/

Thanks in advance!

Yea, that sounds a little off. I'd call and ask.

I called and they just told me to email it to them... simple as that. Thanks!

Question...under "Academic Background", it says to list additional schools on a separate sheet. Is there a way to create another page on the PDF? I suppose I can either list it on the email itself w/ the PDF or attach a word doc. Thought I'd check w/ SDN before I call. Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, anyone already know about that RIDE program before you got the secondary? Anyone select that? Thoughts?

It sounds pretty cool, but as a HPSP I won't be selecting it.

I knew about it, but I don't feel its for me... Great program though!

My only problem with it is I don't like Spokompton... a lot haha 😀

I would personally add that I want to do it, but unfortunately I'm not a WA resident so I'm not eligible, but if you are, I say go for it, from what I read and hear about it you get awesome clinical experience.

I didn't see that you had to be a WA resident to do it; I'm not, I was born there, and in a WICHE state now, but that's all.

Anyway, I don't think they would allow me to do it due to the military obligation following dental school, seems they want people completely committed to putting that experience to use in the region right away (just my inference).

Edit: Sorry if this sounds pessimistic, but right now I'm not exactly harboring any huge hopes on getting in at all, as it seems the OOS acceptances were like 1-0.8% of total applicants to the school. :xf::luck:
