UW says that loss of APC gene is the first step in Adenoma to Carcinoma sequence and in FA it says that the loss of APC puts normal colon at risk and KRAS mutation is the one that leads to adenoma and then loss of p53/DCC genes leads to Carcinoma. So, which one should I go with, UW or FA? FA2014 pg 359

those statements are not conflicting imo?

APC > KRAS > p53

APC mutation increases risk of polyp formation, kras mutation allows for actual polyp/adenoma to be formed

Both are correct, FA is just more detailed. Check out the section in Robbins if you're still not sure.
