I don't know if my brain has stopped working after doing questions all day and reviewing or what, but I wasn't able to figure out that this question was talking about Pulsus Paradoxus. Can anyone please help me understand this even if it is an easy question?
I know that Pulsus Paradoxus= decrease in systolic pressure <10 mmHg at Inspiration and also decreased LV capacity.
If they mentioned BP of 100 to 78 mmHg, is this the systolic BP? Was that the clue I missed?

A 37 y/o pt is being assessed in the ER for SOB and lightheaded. The BP cuff is inflated to 130mmHg and the pressure is very slowly decreased. At 100 mmHg, intermittent Korotkoff sounds are heard only during expiration. At 78 mmHg korotkoff sounds are heard throughout the respiratory cycle.
