I just finished my first pass of UWorld. I won't have time to run through and ENTIRE second pass. I want to specifically go over my incorrects and/or flagged (ie. Q's in which I narrowed down and guessed, or was not entirely confident on the answer choice).

Is there any way to do questions that were "incorrect AND flagged" or "incorrect AND NOT-flagged". If not, any suggestions on how to most efficiently go through UWorld after having finished a first pass.

I am doing the same thing. There isn't a way to do flagged and incorrect, but a good amount of your flagged will most likely be incorrect. I'm am doing flagged first, and then whatever incorrects are left after that. It's essentially the same thing.

Keep in mind that if you do this, you'll see repeats, so make sure that you unflag questions once you're done with them so they don't appear a second time if you don't wish to see them again.

If you want to kill a few hours to get the questions you want, you could go through and flag everything you missed, then unflag them as you go back through them.

I too recently finished my first pass but I was planning on just going over my incorrects. I was wondering though, is it really worth the time doing them over?

I'd say it depends on how much time you have left. If you think you had a good grasp of the explanations, doing blocks of used questions might be a waste of time since it is likely you'll recall the answer instantly rather than give the question good thought again. It might be more useful for weak subject areas.

Personally, I made a Word document and took notes on which UWorld questions I got wrong or was even remotely unsure of and reviewed that.

Cherry, yeah you were right. I just did my first block of incorrects today, I simply remembered the answers to most of them....finished in 20 minutes. I think this might not be a good use of time. I think the people who benefit from a second pass might be those that started a while ago (like during M2) and have forgotten stuff. If you started and finished UWorld during dedicated time, it might not be so useful. Maybe I'll hit up Rx, thoughts?

I found Rx helpful. Not as much as UWorld, but doing Rx is like doing another pass through FA and plus some because there are quite a few questions which pertain to materials not covered in FA. Kaplan is another choice, but I've heard it's fallen out of favor because it has too much minutiae. I bought a subscription for Kaplan, but alas, I didn't have the time to even touch it.

I can comment on this, as I did all 3. I did kaplan, then Rx, and then uworldx2 + incorrects. Personally having done uworld, and tried going back to kaplan/rx, I felt like it was not worth my time, hence why I went through uworld almost 3 times. I attempted going back to look at kaplan and Rx, but kaplan's interface annoyed me, and RX was just regurgitating FA (which may be good if you need help with FA).

I really regret buying a 2nd and 3rd qbank on top of uworld, only because their questions are nothing like the nbme practice tests. If you can understand all the material in uworld and FA then you are golden.

My 2nd and 3rd passes were not so much worrying about time (finish 100? in an hour easily), but understanding the correct answer + educational objective and usually the top incorrect response.

This is what you should be doing on your second pass. If you can "simply remember" the right answer then you should also be able to remember the reason for that answer and if possible, the reasons for everything else being wrong. You're not going through your incorrects just to get them correct.

This. I just went through all my incorrects at a snail's pace on tutor mode. I looked up things in FA and watched videos in Pathoma on subjects I needed help on. What you get correct shouldn't matter--don't look at the average.

For the record:

Kaplan had good pathophys/cardio on it. The explanations were succinct too.

UW is by far the best, but I'm glad I used Rx and Kaplan too. We'll see how it all turns out next week.
