VA LTC facilities as a state employee?

I know that many states have a VA LTC facility, that is funded by the federal government, but the workers are state, not federal employees. What jobs are like that and how does one find these VA state jobs?

Massachusetts are contracted out to the same company that manages the prison pharmacies (among other facilities).

All the VA LTCs I've been to have federal VA staff. You might be thinking of state veterans' homes, which are certified by the VA but not run by the VA.

Considering your past record which you allude to, you’re not going to pass the background investigation for any federal facing job. That includes any job that is direct Title 38 like this one.
