is tetanus vaccination in pregnancy manditory😕

"Mandatory?" I don't quite understand your angle. You may want to elaborate on your questions in future posts such as the previous one stating "whats new in abortions?"

In case you are asking about guidelines for Tetanus vaccination in pregnant women:
1. Safe in pregnancy
2. Booster if it has been greater than 10 years
3. Booster if presenting with wound suspicious for contamination and 5 years since last dose
4. If not immunized, then vaccinate with 2 shots, 4 weeks apart
5. Immunize at least 2 weeks prior to delivery in order to achieve optimal transplacental Ab transfer to baby

Hope this helps you!

I remember when Global Disrobal was a medical student eagerly awaiting the start of his Ob/Gyn Residency. Look at him now; he's a 4th year chief, just a few months away from being an attending. Congratulations, I could not make it. I defected to greener pastures after one year of Ob/Gyn training. I do miss it though, just wanted better domestic hours. I am currently a soon to be 4th year psychiatry resident and loving every minute of it (all 1800 minutes I spend per week doing it).

Good to hear from you, and glad to hear the switch to Psych worked out well for you. Be glad in that you added several years to your life span with that switch:laugh:

It has been a awhile since I was trolling the Pathology forums, then realized OB was where I was heading, and now here we are... balder, grayer, fatter!

*sigh*

Best of luck!

I see you are going for the greener pastures of Ob/Gyn with MFM, I wish you well. By the way, what part of the country are you in and where are you doing your fellowship. Just Curious.
