Technology VALLEJO Cell-Phone Services

I have a question about cell phone services. I want to change my service because well, NEXTEL sucks, lol. but anyways, yeah, cingular or verizon. I would rather go with verizon, but if the service is terrible in vallejo I would rather not.

Any suggestions on the actually practicality of a PDA? I'm assuming i'll be lugging around a laptop for the first time, so is the actual PDA with data transfer necessary? Thanks ladies and gents. Any help would be awesizzome.
