SDN'ers,

For those of you with interview invites, has anyone received any sort of student hosting at Vanderbilt? I emailed the address on the webpage (the one Patti, the admissions office woman, told me to go to), and it has been well over a week, yet I haven't received any confirmation yet. Has anyone else done anything differently? Any help would be appreciated! 🙂

i also requested student housing. dont know why its taking so long, but i plan on calling next week or later this week if i dont hear anything. Dr. Bryant (I believe) said that they are still in the midst of organizing the student vols. But Im in the same boat you are Ice.,

yeah, i was pretty much in the same boat. b/c i was going early, they hadn't really set up the student hosting stuff yet. you might want to book a hotel just in case...the rates start going up the closer you book to the actual date. and kilroth is right--guest house inn is pretty much a good deal for proximity to the med center.

for those of you who got interviews at Vanderbilt, did you apply for the Early Decision Program? When were your AMCAS apps transmitted?

I wasnt EDP either, my app was transmitted on the first day, i forget when that was (early july?)

I called the Vanderbilt admission office, and basically what they said was that the people in charge of student hosting are "overwhelmed" now. The person I talked to suggest sending another email to [email protected] , but also recommend me to make plans for a hotel stay as backup. Hope this helps!

just curious...if we are interviewing in september, and their first notification to regular apps is oct. 15th, does that mean we should all hear on the 15th (assuming we interview at least a month before?) that would be great!

I emailed student hosting about 2 weeks ago and I haven't gotten a response either
