Not entirely sure if Vandy does that or just chooses people to receive merit aid, but I was at Case recently, and they invite some people to apply for scholarships (those individuals then have to write essays etc.)

I'm pretty sure that Vandy's merit scholarships do not require separate application.
 
I interviewed the same week(second week of Sept.)...but I live farther away than D.C.....Monday cannot come soon enough....

i know for sure they often give scholarship offers at offer of admission. i have two friends who got in october 15th and got two full rides in the past 3 years.
 
Just got my waitlist letter in the mail. I had really thought my interview had gone well, too! (It was on 05 Sept).

I think I really overestimated myself as an applicant. I wish the Texas match happened earlier so I could know just how worried to be.

I got the same letter...interviewed a bit after you...and it was one of my best interviews. I'm a non-trad without peer-reviewed research publications but with numbers which are just about right on their averages.

I got the letter today! I'm going to be a doctor!

Comes in a regular, #10 envelope. I interviewed 9/19.
 
Woohoo! I just got my acceptance letter in the mail but hadn't received a call either. So for those folks who haven't heard, your letter might be in the mail! FYI, I interviewed the second week of September.

How did you get the letter today on Saturday? Was it already there from Friday?

Ya, dont worry Pemberley, you will get in at baylor. BTW, if we ever meet in the future, could you sign me an autograph? I have never met anyone who got a 42 before. You are a star in my books 😀
 
I am eager to see if anyone hears from Vandy today....I think that that admissions committee meets on Mondays... I wonder if any calls will go out tonight? I am still waiting on a letter either way...perhaps my letter took the scenic route here?

waiting....is....so....frustrating.............🙁
 
Finally got the official letter in the mail today!😀

I called. It wasn't a problem. Just make sure you have submitted the secondary before you call.

FYI, they do call as well as send snail mail, it appears. I got the mail first, but they gave me a call this morning (at 9 am or so). So it seems they are a little backlogged on calls as my letter was postmarked last thursday.

I finally got a letter today too.
Looks like more waiting for me....(2nd waitlist this week, I do not know whether to feel relieved that I was not rejected or disappointed because I was unable to use the interview to swing things in my favor.) It is/was a long shot for me at Vandy and the other school anyway....

Congrats to those with acceptances.
Good luck to the rest of you waiting for news.
 
When did you all interview? Mine was on 10/9, but I'm wondering if they might be ahead of the 6-8 week quoted timeframe.
 
Second week of Sept. Looks like they are slightly ahead of the 6 week mark for me (as far as the mailing date), but right on the 6 week mark for receipt of news.

So everyone who has been accepted DID receive a phone call at some point even if it came after their snail mail acceptance letter?

(In my case) yes. It was a pretty generic call, and they are willing to leave a message (some schools make you call back to tell you in person) so I assume their plan is to call everyone. Best of luck.

Yes, I received the letter before the call, but I received both.

Make sure you check your status. I was waiting and waiting to hear and when I finally emailed, there was a problem with my application (no check or picture) so I had to resend them.

I have a 34 on mcat from august, i was hoping to get an interview, they are still reviewing but based on PEMBERELY. GOD DANG SHE HAD A 42 and they said no???????????????????????????????????????????????? i might as well forget about this school

Do you mean check back after you've interviewed? I think you're referring to the pre-interview stage.
