Inviting any and all insights into which vascular fellowships offer the best mix of open and endovascular training. Which fellows are the happiest. Which programs are well regarded.

I'm most interested in the Pacific Northwest and West Coast but welcome input about programs all across the country.

Cheers 👍

not a fair question. most programs will offer a good balance of open and endovascular. most important is exposure to complex open cases, as everyone is doing endovascular these days.

your home program is quite strong and should be a starting point for your search. please also decide what type of prgram you're looking for, especially with regards to academic vs clinical and exposure less-common pathologies.

Thanks doc05.... I'm looking for a program where I'll get a fair amount of complex open cases. Otherwise, my only criteria is to find a program that is reasonably free of malignant tendencies.

What? Not getting that now? 😉

I'll be sure to talk to one of your attendings about this problem when I'm at his upcoming wedding. 😀
