I think I'm starting to get a good feel for the amount of knowledge required to be an efficient radiologist (or at least I think I am in my MS4 experience).

😱

I've never had any problems academically, but the amount of information seems endless.

They've asked a similar question on the pathology forum some time back. The main responses suggested:

- Realise that you will never learn everything.

- Read up on cases you have seen but also read up on pitfalls and differentials.

- Always put some time away in the week where you just read about things you don't get as much exposure to.

The guys on that forum also made a point that a lot of what they are learning is to describe what they see and characterise important findings and then consult text sources to put a name on it. Not sure if it's as true in radiology.

Pathology has the luxury of time moreso than radiology though as turnaround time for rads studies is faster. Less time to look stuff up.
