Because of one of my transcripts not getting to ACCOMAS until October 25, my primary application still has not been processed and sent to schools. VCOM is my number one choice, and I was wondering if anyone knows if this lateness will severely affect my chances. How many people have gotten accepted after December? Thanks.

What are your stats and how does your applications look? Is it strong? If so, then you will probably be okay.

I'm just a fellow applicant, but my guess is that you are going to be just fine. Don't waste one minute though. If they ask for anything, submit it right away. If they want to interview you, take the first date they give or ask if they have anything earlier?

While you seem to have a strong application for VCOM, time is still of the essence.

My primary wasn't complete for them until February of last cycle since one of my rec letters was LATE. However, the day after they got it, they called me for an interview...Due to my schedule at the time, I couldn't go for an interview until mid-March. Three days after, I got a call for an acceptance.
Just finish your apps ASAP!

I would not worry about it - I agree with what someone else said and do not waste any time. I am a Second Year at VCOM and did not interview with them until April and was excepted in early May. The 1st class had a little more time to work with, but you are still probably sitting alright. And just so you know, my primaries were not sent until after Christmas - ACCOMAS screwed me royally - so you are doing good. And your stats are good, so that will help. Good luck.

I'm sure the OP will be fine with those numbers, especially at VCOM. It's a good school with a lot of promise and potential, although I was a little turned off by the family dynamic stuff (which was evident in my interview, and I think this hurt me)

They seemed to aspire to have a very "family-like" student body. I'm more of a loner who likes to study on his own, and this was made evident during the interview. In fact, I was a "lone wolf" all through college.

This isn't to say I can't work in groups, as quite the contrary is true. However, I work better alone.

Mr. King made a point at the beginning of the interview day to highlight the purpose of the interview -- to find those candidates who would make the best fit with the school. I guess I wasn't one of them. 😀
