Hi guys,

Recently got accepted off the waitlist for VCOM-Auburn. I am currently on the waitlist for PCOM-GA. I live in Georgia and both are approx an hour from my house. I love the staff and students at VCOM-Auburn- they are so kind and really seem to care about the students. Also, the Auburn campus environment is a plus. But I like that PCOM-GA has all its rotation sites in GA and it is an older school. Any thoughts on both schools??

Pretty simple. You only have one acceptance at this point and it's Auburn. If you get accepted off PCOMs wait list then absolutely go there.

Vcom auburn is competing for rotation sites with 3 schools. Those schools already have a strong grip on those sites, thus rendering vcom's to be subpar.

Don't get me wrong I loved VCOM-Auburn, but this was a huge deciding factor for me. They are competing with the state MD school and Dothan's ACOM. They also require extra primary care rotations to help fulfill their mission. If that is your only acceptance, then you should feel proud..but, PCOM-Ga may hold more promise for you in the long run.

Vcom-A was rather disorganized this year too

nope, just what a friend that attends VCOM-A told me. Obviously my views dont hold much weight, I just figured id throw that in there
Do you know anything about why it was "disorganized"? More details if you can! thanks

I have a friend who goes to VCOM-Auburn. Said the same thing, but the biggest reason being that it was their first year class, which is bound to happen with schools first year class in one form or another. Nothing major.

i don't know much other than they didn't like the way they do the test reviews and they said they don't have a full faculty force to teach the students, but I'm not sure.
