I am curious if anyone else that has been invited to an interview at VCOM also got a call before you submitted your secondary asking you if you were going to turn the secondary in?

Yes I was ignoring VCOM until I recieved a call asking me to submit my secondary. DMU sends emails out like that too. I don't know if it means any thing.
I just got a call from them yesterday reminding me about the secondary. I haven't sent it in yet because I don't have a DO recommendation yet. I'm not even sure when or if I'll be able to get one.. so don't want to send in the secondary with the fee until I'm sure.
I recieved a call at my home a month and a half ago asking why I had not sent in my secondary, and I am not a Va resident. The lady who I talked to seem very interested to what I had to say and encouraged me to send in my secondary as soon as possible.

I submitted my secondary around 9/20 and received an interview invite within a week. Im also out of state/not from any Applachian region. I just had my interview there this past week and it was GREAT, everyone is sooo nice and welcoming. Their technology is awesome. I felt really comfortable at the school. The interviews are VERY low stress and conversational. They make that a point not to intimidate you. I'd say submit that secondary, it is worth checking in to.
I submitted my secondary the beginning of October and I have my interview on 11/17. I live out of state now, went to undergrad out of state, but I went to high school in Virginia so I was not sure if I got the call because I am considered an in state student or not. This is my #1 choice so I hope it works out.
I submitted the secondary application in late August at VCOM's invitation. Everything was on hold until my August MCATs were released two weeks ago.
I received a phone call today, inviting me to the interview which I scheduled for Nov 17. I live in central Louisiana (rural).
MCATs sucked: 20S, verbal 9, physical 5, bio 6 ... but I've been out of school for a decade, working fulltime as a cardiovascular anesthetist plus active in Navy reserve = unable to really study for the test. Anesthesia graduate school grades (using medical school curriculum and texts) was 3.7, overall GPA 3.32. Hopefully that's what earned my interview because my MCATs surely didn't.
To say that I was quite surprised, pleased, and grateful to get the call is the understatement of the year!
