Is it normal to get an email from Megan stating that our application will go before the committee to decide whether to invite us to submit a secondary? I don't remember this from last year; maybe it's a reapplicant-only thing?

I am a first time applicant and recieved an email about my application going before the committee a couple weeks ago.. Just lettin you know!

i think the policy is that if your sci gpa is above 3, it will automatically get a a secondary, if not, then they pull out the commitee?

I got the same email about going before committee and my science is 3.75 overall is 3.76

It's probably more of a receipt-type thing. They more than likely review primary apps once every 2-4 weeks in large groups or something.
