Im just wondering if anyone can give me a yay/nay about VCOM .. has anyone heard anything good or bad about the school .. pls let me know thanks!

There have been some, shall we say, "interesting" threads about VCOM. Do a search.

Some of the threads about VCOM are untrue (i.e. said connection with Liberty per local newspaper has been proven inaccurate) and have been posted by those with bad feelings towards the school. However, I do believe it's true that VCOM doesn't have an MRFC chapter. The anatomy lab is amazing, and its association with VA Tech is a huge plus if you want the educational and social benefits that comes with a large university. I got into a number of schools and I'm heading to VCOM.

connection with liberty??

ive known faculty members of VCOM before the building was even finished, and before the first class started. never heard of a connection with liberty.

maybe someone misread a post or detail on a rotation site. it wouldn't surprise me if they possibly had a small family practice clinical rotation in lynchburg where just a couple students rotate through each year.

i also think people are making stuff up about VCOM b/c they were probably rejected despite excellent scores/grades. and they think since VCOM is new they are accepting the lowest standards which are not true at all.
