VCU doesn't have my recs!!! Argghhhhh

So I give VCU a call up today to see if they received my recommendations (school sent them 8/24, my deadline was 9/5) and they said they never received them after waiting patiently the past 3 weeks for my status page to be updated. So the lady was real nice, but she said that I needed to resend them and she would extend my deadline til October 6th however it takes a week for my school to send recommendations out, and I figured VCU needs a week or two to process them so I got her to extend the deadline til Oct. 18. So frustrating. Every other school processed the recommendations in a reasonable time. Oh well, I guess I have no reason to check my status page for the next two weeks.

As I've stated before, VCU is a complete disaster in terms of organization.

Can you tell me what is the number you called? Couldn't find one on the web site.

I've emailed multiple times. They apparently don't have my handwritten essay (according to my status page).

Reckoning, I had the same exact problem (sent in essay, didn't show up on status page). Call them at 804-828-9629 , the lady who answers is really helpful. I called last Friday, some 11 days after I mailed the essay. She told me she had many stacks of essays to get through, but she took down my number and notified me that it was there.

many people on the board has had problems with VCU...they blame it on the hurricanes...good luck all!

I was getting anxious too but I think for me it took them about 2 weeks from posting here in NC to receive and put on the web......
