Hey, I was wondering from people who did VCU post bacc, how heavily do they weigh those grades w/ low Undergrad GPA. ~2.9 - 3.0 by the time of application. First 2 years @ mason was low, i honestly don't know until I get my transcript. Last 5 semesters @ VCU is 3.645 which has gone up every semester w/o any fluff classes besides gen ed reqs. 29 MCAT, retaking in august. I want to go to VCU and think i'd be ok in the post bacc program, but have heard stories good and bad about it. Good from "got 3.5+ got in w/ 28" decent undergrad though. Bad from "a supposed 28, 4.0ish biochem certificate" not getting in. Not sure if its true but a bad omen nonetheless. I have volunteer, research etc... but the big glaring blemish is GPA of course. Bottom line is: do post bacc grades forgive Ugrad grades? I wouldn't want to waste a year if it doesn't help me get in, when I could have improved upon the undergrad GPA some more.
