So Dr. Healy said that the committee should be meeting tomorrow again to send out more acceptances...

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed, and hoping I see a status change on AADSAS sometime tomorrow afternoon. Let me know if you guys hear anything.

I too am waiting with fingers crossed. The update I heard was that the committee will meet tomorrow and offers will be made "thereafter." I'm not sure if that means AADSAS will change tomorrow afternoon, or Tuesday, or later in the week.

Has anyone heard about a definite time period when AADSAS should be updated?? 😕

:xf::xf:

i would also like to know when aadsas will be updated! keeping my fingers crossed in the meantime...

For the 2nd round, it was posted the same day, that Mon. Feb.3rd. I'm assuming if an offer is made it will post tomorrow as well. I'm praying for a miracle!

Right there with y'all. I sure could use some good news!

During the second round I think AADSAS updated around 4 PM or so, but don't hold me to that. I'll be checking all day let me know if you guys hear anything

I was accepted second round, and from what I remember Healy saying was that the committee met that Thursday, then we were accepted the following Monday. If they meet today, I wouldn't think you'd hear till tomorrow, unless they really are that quick haha. "Offer Made" appeared in the afternoon. Good luck to you all!

Does anyone know approximately how many seats are left?

I just got the call too!

BOOOYYAAAA I am in!

I am so excited!😀

ahhhh i want to get a phone call right now....

no phone call for me yet...🙁

i thought dr. healy was only calling those he wanted to offer a waitlist/D.5 position to...i guess not...?

no phone call for me 🙁 .... anyone have their status change on AADSAS?

anyone else get a call from healy that is a virginia resident?

anyone else get a call from healy? it seems like he only called the out of state people

Anyone know the scoop for VA residents? Anyone who interviewed in Feb. hear back anything (and is VA resident)?

lamarckism,

I didn't think my stats were that bad. What do you suggest I do? Maybe I should retake the dat, and go for a masters...🙁

I suggest that you give up your seat to someone that deserves it

cr0by,congratulations!
I think your stats look good. Don't worry about people who don't even post their own DAT scores and judge others. Based on my experience VCU is looking for well rounded applicants.Do you know if the class is confirmed full?

Shut up. :slap:

Someone's bitter that they didn't get in. Maybe it was your awesome personality that kept you out of VCU.

Congrats to cr0by, your stats aren't bad at all, and you sure deserved to get in over this guy.

you do deserve it cr0by! congrats!

Congrats cr0by! I am really happy for you. I don't know what lamarkism is talking about. Your stats are great. Have you joined the facebook group yet? It will be good to another Utahn out in Richmond!!

so far 3 new people have joined facebook, but they are non-virginia resident..have any virginian get accepted in the third round?

Congrats! I'm excited for you. You have better stats than I do. I interviewed at Midwestern the same day as you did. I go to BYU. I have two friends at BYU who interviewed the 16th of Feb at VCU. One got the call yesterday, and the other is still waiting. They both loved it, so I'm sure you're going to love it too!

bad news, if this facebook stuff is correct.....i counted around 35-37 va residents + 13 d.5 students from the previous year= around 50-51 va residents (only 55 get in). And that doesn't even include those that might not be on facebook.

Hate to ruin the hope and I sure hope I'm wrong with my estimations, but congratulations to all those accepted! All deserved it!

Anyone else heard anything?

i think we can safely assume that enough offers have been made to fill the class, and at this point we're hoping that maybe 1-2 people turn down their offer + alternate list + d.5 program.

i have a question though. does anyone know how the alternate list works? i thought he made it pretty clear that for the d.5 program, he picks all of them in march after the class is full. but for the alternate list, has that already been made/used or is he yet to make it? when he explained it, i thought he said that he makes the alternate list in march after the class is full, but after thinking about it that seems unlikely.

Healy makes up the the waitlist in March at the same time as the d5 list is made after the class is full. He claims it's a good place to be as he usually uses almost all of the alternate list. Hope this helps...anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's how the process works. Best wishes!

thanks for adding this, as i thought its what he said, but he said the wait list is 10 people only, and that generally most of them end up in, so i got to wondering how 5-10 spots free up,

I'm guessing they are from people who made the initial deposit to save themselves a spot, but were still waiting on other schools. If they get in another school they like better than VCU they withdraw and go to the other school.

Scotty

2 people just dropped from the facebook group, so i guess that opens up 2 more spot

so VCU isn't scheduling any more interviews right?

this is correct. I was waitlisted last year and received a letter stating so dated 15 March

VCU told me that they didn't have and VA resident spots open for the 3rd round. Everyone was out-of-state. The chances of in-state resident turning down their spots are probably very slim. I will remain hopeful. If not, I guess I'm moving. Go BLUE!

where'd you hear that (if you don't mind me asking)? good luck- this process is getting to be longer and longer (and frustrating)

it sucks to pay taxes in a state that doesn't look out for its own

how do you check people's stats?

man that really sucks, healy told us at the interview there was some seat open for virginia residents. did you talk to healy or the front desk?
