Gotta help out my anesthesia peeps. Unusual indeed to have an anesthesiologist gone medicine. Offers a unique advantage for me and, oddly enough, for you guys as well.

I'll try and pass along some pearls that hopefully will help.

Having a couple of little dudes and going through a second residency...definitely humbling. Good but humbling.

Gotta go manage my s/p PEA down in the field now on 3 pressors and tachin away in the 160's on amio. Oh yeah baby! Fem art line? Booyaka-sha.


BTW, the glidescope is catching on like wild fire. Its cheating damn it. Expensive, not there when you need it, cheating.

Rokkstar is not defined by level of intelligence alone on this board, that would include I think all of the Docs here. It has to do with ability to pass the torch, enlighten, share wisdom, generally, from what I'm told, teach people how to:

Just wondering why you chose to do an IM residency and Pulm/CCM fellowship, instead of just doing a CCM fellowship from anesthesia? Are there not as many job opportunities being a CCM trained anesthesiologist as apposed to Pulm/CCM?

I too want to know the answer to this. Especially since I am switching out of my IM/PCCM track to Anesthesia/CCM. While I'm excited to do this, I also have this nagging fear that I may regret this decision one day. Please tell us how you came to the decision.
