PLEASE HELP!

I am finding some conflicting scale conversions for the verbal reasoning section. Specifically, I have been doing Kaplan's verbal reasoning section tests, which are full section tests with 9 passages, and I was using a conversion chart from Kaplan's first full length. The conversion is as follows:

Scaled - raw
15-60
14-59
13-58
12-56-57
11-54-55
10-52-53
9-49-51
8-46-48
7-42-45
6-38-41
etc...

I found this conversion extremely strict. But I have been comparing all my verbal reasoning section tests to it, and I've been consistently scoring in the 7 range (42-45), and yet according to other conversion charts in other posts in this forum, I should be scorign around a 10.

Can anyone help me solve this discrepency? I know conversions vary from test to test, but the conversion above from Kaplan's first full length varies by about 10 missed questions for each scaled score compared to other conversions I've seen.

thanks

That curve looks pretty tight. I've seen scales like that, but they were on older, easier tests (AAMC 1, 2). Is "Kaplan's first full-length" an older test? If the others you are taking are at the same level of difficulty as aamc's, you're probably around 9, maybe 10.

Which is a "good" score? I usually score about 50 (raw score). I know the higher the better but which is considered good enough for respectable med school?
