Did AAMC's practice test #4 today, fairly well on verbal reasoning (8), but I consistently missed the problems with the wording "Which of these blah blah's is weakened/challenge/causes discrepancy so-so's theory?" I've tried thinking about it backwards (which one agrees) and process of elimination that way, but it's still tricky to me. Any advice for this type of question?

if you post an example, we can be of more help.

generally though.. you'll want to think about the conclusions and/or assumptions the theory makes. If a conclusion or assumption is negated, then the theory is weakened. Opposite is true if its a strengthened type question.

Example: "Which of the following objections, if valid, would most weaken the argument made for the special importance of the physician-patient covenant within prisons?"

Or they'll give a situation, ask you to assume it's true and pick which of the following challenges the assumption.

Can't really run you through the thought process without the passage and answers..

the general advice I posted above fits both those examples though.
What are the conclusions/assumptions in the argument made for special importance of the physician-patient covenant within prison?
Which answer choice nullifies one of those?
