got my MCAT scores yesterday...32Q (14PS, 6VR, 12BS)

I'm applying to only MD schools right now (don't have a letter of rec from a D.O.)

Overall GPA - 3.71
Science GPA - 3.75

E.C.s
Shadowing - 150 hours
Volunteering - ~200 hours
1 year of research, with a poster presentation
Play 4 years of College Basketball (Thousands of hours)

New Jersey Resident - Applying to
UMDNJ NJMS
UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson
Cooper Medical School at Rowan University
Temple
Drexel
Commonwealth
South Florida

Will my 6 in verbal keep me out of these schools?

Well I don't know what to say because your score crushes mine but I recently I was rejected from Wayne State pre-secondary. They tell students who score below an 8 on any section to retake the MCAT. I don't know if that means all schools do this but I know of at least one school that MIGHT not like your application. Are you ethnic by chance?

No, not ethnic

It sucks if just my verbal score will keep me out

You might consider adding schools that don't look at subscores or have no cutoffs (if they fit you):

Commonwealth in Pa (in case you were referring to the one in Va), EVMS, Oakland, Colorado, UKMC, FIU

Add schools that have a bottom 10th percentile for VS of 7, like UIllinois and Rosalind Franklin.

S Florida is not OOS friendly. Do you have ties there?

I think that adding some DO schools is a good idea if you want the best chance to get in somewhere this cycle. All DO schools don't require a DO letter. You can submit now, as it will take awhile to get verified, and acquire the DO letter later.

Thanks for the help! Yeah, I was referring to Commonwealth in PA, S Florida has a fairly new SELECT program with a hospital near my undergraduate school in Pennsylvania

BTW, where did you find the information on which schools don't look at subscores/don't have a cutoff?
