Read the citations for the verbal passages. On 6R I noticed the following authors:

Steven Jay Gould
W.S Churchill
American Academy of Advertisers

Since I was familiar with the first two authors it helped me figure out their intents. The third one gave helped with the intent of the article.

I don't think the writers etc are mentioned on the real thing .. i may be wrong though

They are mentioned, but at the back of the verbal section... not directly with the passage.

Thats too bad, damn the aamc for giving me practice tests that arent exactly like the real thing.

there are citation on the real thing, but usually one doesn't have time to really pay attention to them.
