If there'a nother thread about this somewhere, please direct me there.

I wanted to wait to get my summer course grades before submitting AMCAS because the grades are an important boost to my GPA.

I put in a request for the registrar to send my transcript to AMCAS when my grades came in. They made a mistake and sent AMCAS my transcript even though my grades weren't on it yet- so it just has the courses I took listed.

Here's the question- if I enter my grades and submit before the official transcript gets to AMCAS, will they still include them in my GPA calculations. I know that they will put an O for "not verified" next to the grade, but does that mean they will remove it from my GPA calculation.

THe woman at AMCAS told me she didn't know......

of course.

Thanks~

If they don't have a transcript for those grades, it won't count for your gpa.

You can send in your updated transcript and if it reaches AMCAS by the time your turn comes up for verification, they will be able to count the new grades. Otherwise, you'll receive a notice saying the process has been halted until your new grades reach them.

thanks- so i guess my best bet is to not submit until those grades are sent in by the registrar for sure....

And you then must have your transcript rush delivered to AMCAS.
