I'm not completely verified and have only applied to one school so far to get the process started.

I want to make two adjustments to the EC's in my application but I'm worried schools will see these updates and think something is up. First, I'm thinking about completely eliminating an overseas medical trip from my application as I don't want to come across like a short-sighted premed thinking I changed the world by volunteering for 2 weeks overseas.

Secondly, I want to adjust my hours for my hospital volunteering; I marked hours that will be estimated to have been complete by the time I receive secondaries...but after consulting a few people on this board I think it's better to just list hours completed to date. I'm afraid if schools can see these changes they'll think I was initially lying...

So question is, can schools see every update you make to your application even before you've been completely verified?

Would like an answer to this as well.

I asked aacomas via support message and here is the transcript:
me: Am I able to edit my personal statement prior to verification? I already paid, submitted, and have transcripts received.
aacomas: Yes. Thank you.

So, I am assuming that this goes for the rest of the app that it is okay to make edits prior to verification if you already paid and submitted.

OP and I know that we can edit stuff, but the question is will the things we edit after submission be marked on our application. Marked as "editted after submission" or something similar for ADCOMS to see.

Ah I see. I would just send a quick message on the support page of aacomas and see what they say. They get back to you pretty quickly.

I called AACOMAS for all wondering.

They said if you make edits BEFORE verification is complete, the schools will not be updated with any of your edits. It's only once an app has been sent that updates are made known.

So just to clarify when you said schools will not be updated with any of the edits, do you mean that if we change the edits before verification is complete, the schools will see our updated EC edits as our original and so they won't be notified that our app has been updated? Thanks

Yeah so any edits made before verification won't be seen. They'll only see what's in your app when verification is complete. After verification any future edits will be seen.

This is an additional question relevant to the content of this thread.
First of all, thanks to the SDN gurus who took time out to contact the administrators.
So I know that edits can be made to an application post submission.
How about adding additional EC's after submission? Like I shadow doctor or do some other stuff.
Also, does editing and adding additional information caste a negative light on the overall application?
