Verification: What is it and why is it taking longer than the Manhatten Project?

Anybody have an idea what actually goes on during verification? Why is it taking longer now, without the paper, than it did with the paper? Who is Santa Claus? Why is the sky blue? And finally, why am I up this late posting this question on this board?

During verification, they check that the grades you submitted and the colleges you submitted them from are accurate, and, thus, that your GPA's are accurate. I think that's about it. I think I would have rather submitted my trancsripts to each school than go through this process!

As to why it takes longer than the Manhattan Project, I have no clue. It seems a simple enough project that any junior high school graduate could handle it in no time.

you should definitely ask to speak to a supervisor...makes a big difference
