Verification?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I am taking my Mcat in August, but I wanted to get verified. Do I have to submit my competed (minus Mcat) application before sending transcripts or
Can I just send transcripts, then submit
My app later?

To save a lot of time, send in your transcripts ASAP. You don't have to have your app submitted. Verification doesn't start until you've sent in both (as well as your payment) so the sooner you can submit your transcripts, the better.

AACOMAS received my transcripts on 6/10, I submitted my app and payments on 6/27, and was verified on 7/18.

On the app it says I have to give my registrar a form? Where is that form? Do I need to put in my classes before I get that?

Click on the "Transcripts" tab and next to your college click on the blue link "Transcript Request Form" and click make transcript request form. Then, print it out and mail it to your college. They will then send your official transcript to AACOMAS.

And you don't need to put your classes in first. You should have your classes in before you submit your app.

To be clear: your app won't be reviewed until you submit the app and payment. It doesn't begin when you submit your transcripts, it begins after you submit your app and submit your transcripts.

Submit your transcripts whenever with your transcript request form in the transcripts tab.

Submit your app before you get your MCAT score. You will already be delayed by the MCAT results, so there is no point in delaying for verification also. If you are worried about your MCAT or you have a very low GPA, submit to only one school first, then add the rest later (doing this will cost an extra $15 overall) after you get your MCAT score in.
