Just as useful as prior requirement for neuro consult prior to VA.
Hmmm. I haven't seen this yet. If this is enforced its clearly an attack on solo private practice with augmentation moving to hospital owned or large group practices.for Medicare advantage plan - EviCore require Orthopedic surgeon available at site for Vertebral Augmentation.
Have any one come a cross that kind of situation ? What you do ?

PLEASE Send this experience to ASIPP to see if anything can be done to fight back. That is beyond ridiculous. Do we have to be present when ortho does a “blind” intra-articulate hip injection on a 350 lbs person?for Medicare advantage plan - EviCore require Orthopedic surgeon available at site for Vertebral Augmentation.

lol what is an orthopedic surgeon going to do - if you did manage to f*k it up they have time to go to the hospital and get an OR ready. idiotic they arent going to salvage a case in your in office procedure suite
Following this logic to it's natural conclusion, every time you plan to be in the presence of a patient, it must be at a level 1 trauma center with no staff on break.
