Hi all, here's my story in a nutshell:

1) MCAT 32 - 2004
2) Got into MD school 2005
3) passed step 1 in 2007
4) left med school due to family reason/emergency
5) want to reapply soon

Any thoughts about reapplying/getting into a med school with advanced status???

I left on good standing with lots of people wishing that I didn't go. My school wouldn't grant me a sabatical, for those who are wondering.

Would really appreciate some advice/thoughts.. Thank you.

I would recommend maybe asking the mods to move this to the med student forum, maybe they know of current students in similar situations. The normal advice about issues like this over there is that your very best bet is to contact the admissions committee at your old MD program and plead/barter/cajole them to allow you readmittance in whatever capacity they are willing. This one is a tough one, and I wish you the best of luck.

OP, no one here knows your situation or your chances. You need to contact your old medical school and find out what can be done. Best of luck. 🙂

Your best option would be to talk to your previous med school and see what they say.

I imagine you will have to repeat the whole process....including the MCAT, reapplying, and 4yrs of med school.

Too much time has passed..........

Hah hah, no idea if the TV show has any truth in this part.
